Project Details
LA Fitness, Junction
This adaptive re-use facility built in the up-and-coming Junction neighbourhood of Toronto was converted from a vacant flour mill into a fully operational L.A. Fitness facility, complete with an aquatic center and gymnasium.
Rochon Building Corporation needed to utilize new methods of construction to incorporate existing elements of the building into the new updated facility, keeping the industrial feel of the Junction, extensive structural modifications included adding a second story to the existing building. As the building was adjacent to operational CN Rail property, we required special permissions to construct the South Elevations without interrupting freight and commuter railway traffic.
